King-235 1932-1958 Brown Stallion by Zanatonon x Jabalina.My family had always owned Poco Bueno related horses,we liked thier short but stocky builds.We didn't use them for cutting but for our own use i.e trail riding and the ocasional horse show.Their isn't anything i can say about King that hasn't already been said of him.He stood 14.2hh and was around 1300 pounds,he produced many famous off spring the above mentioned Poco Bueno,PocoPine,Poco Tivio,Commander King ,Poco Lena and many more.King is in the back ground of our mare Big Time Pine.Leo
Leo 1940-1967 Sorrel Stallion by Joe Reed II x Little Fanny.Like King, Leo is responsible for making the quarter horse breed and for the quarter horses we have today.A life size statue stands at the American Quarter Horse Association in Amarillo,Texas.Leo is in the pedigree's of Tru High Style and ISS Leos Rainy Day. Three Bars 1940-1968 Sorrel Stallion by Percentage x Myrtle Dee.It truthfully is hard to really find anything to say about Three Bars,again that hasn't been said.I think he was really think he was a good looking he was half Thoroughbred and around 15.2hh which again was tall for that era.I think i know more horses that have his blood in thier veins,albeit way,way back none the less it's there.This guy goes way back in Tru High Style's lineage and our QH filly Zeez Hint Of Mac.Skipper W
Skipper W 1945-1963 Sorrel Stallion by Nick Shoemaker x Hired Girl Skipper W was a fairly good size standing 15.2hh which was big for a quarter horse way back then.This stallion was good looking and passed pretty on to his foals.In his 18 years standing at stud he never stood to outside mares.Tru High Style and Big Time Pine have him in their background. King Fritz 1956-1975 Brown Stallion by Power Command x Poco Jane .King Fritz was line bred King his sire was King son and his dam was by Poco Bueno who was a King son.I know a lot of people who have smaller and mid size breeding operations who seek out horse with King Fritz in the pedigree's.Our mare Big Time Pine has King Fritz just off of her paper's.Coys Bonanza
Coys Bonanza 1959-1978 Sorrel Stallion by Jaguar x Sparky Joann.This sire is the sire of Major Bonanza who was a pretty good cutting horse and all around working horse and War Leo Bonanza who was 1972 AQHA High Point Halter Stallion,AQHA Under Saddle Stallion and AQHA High Point Junior Hunter Under Saddle.This stalllion and his above mentioned son's are in the pedigree of Willie Blue The Moon.Boston Mac
Boston Mac 1968-1992 Black Stallion by Triple Chick x Trouble Fair.Boston mac was another Three Bars Granson,his sire Triple Chick was a Three Bars Son.I don't much about Boston Mac he was shown halter and did very well for himself and people flocked to bred to him-partly because he was black and not the all common sorrel or bay for that time.Boston Mac is on the paper's of our mares Zeez Hint Of Mac and ISS Midway Mac.
Sir Quincy Dan
Sir Quincy Dan 1969-1995 Sorrel Stallion by Quincy Dan x Saneta .Breeder Dan Opie Kept Sir Quincy Dan as his sire's replacement after him untimely death at 9 y.o .Dan Opie claims Sir Quincy Dan was better than his famous sire and put way prettier foals on the ground.This stallion lived out his final years as a back yard pet in his owner's best friend's back yard.Zeez Hint Of Mac goes back to this nice stallionZippo Pine Bar
Zippo Pine Bar 1969-1998 Sorrel Stallion by Zippo Pat Bars x Dollie Pine.Zippo Pine Bar is a pleasure horse legend,he and his son Zips Chocolate Chip are what Doc Bar and Poco Bueno were to cutting.In putting these horses on this section i am learning more about other sires that i really didn't know much about.I am frotunate enough to have to mares that go back to him Zeez Hint Of Mac and Big Time Pine.Impressive
Impressive 1969-1995 Sorrel Stallion by Lucky Bar x Glamour Bars.Impressive's grandsire's were famous Lucky Bar was by Three Bars and Glamour Bars was by Lightning Bar and a half sister to Doc Bar.Most everyone i know that breeds horses in my little world run screaming when they here the i word and wouldn't own anything with his blood in it.The myth being Impressive horses are hard to dael with and are ticking time bombs and of course the there's hypp.I'm not going to say anything more about that.i will say Impressive was one of all time leading halter sires out there and that people bred to him paying his $20.000 stud fee long after hypp had surfaced and still breed to his sons and gransons.Our quarter horse filly Zeez Hint Of Mac has Impressive in her back ground,she is hypp negative and preety much a 450 pound dog that thus far hasn't had any major hissy fits or blow-ups.To each thier own
Two Eyed Jack
Two Eyed Jack 1961-1991 Sorrel Stallion by Two D Two x Triangle Tookie.Two Eyed Jack sort of get a bit of bum wrap like Impressive,you either like Two Eyed Jack horses or you don't.I have heard they are stubern and pig headed or they are wonderful and anyone can ride them.I guess it all in what one likes.I like the looks of this horse he was very pretty and his owner and breeder wouldn't part with him no matter what price was offered and some of the offers were near a quarter of million dollars.Two eyed is way way back in our mare Big Time Pine.
Zips Chocolate Chip 1985 Bay Stallion by Zippo Pine Bar x Fancy Blue Chip.this stallion is Zippo Pine Bar's most famous son,i like him better than his sire looks wise and probably am a little bias as he is on the papers of Zeez Hint Of Mac.He sure is pretty.
